Compassionate Care Hospice, established in 1993 by
Milton Heching and Isadore Goldberg, provides Hospice Care in Adams,
Berks, Chester, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry and York
Counties for patients and their families requiring end of life care and
services. We are proud to announce our Jewish Hospice Program which has
recently been accredited by the National Institute for Jewish Hospice (www.nijh.org).
The Jewish Hospice Program of Compassionate Care
Hospice affirms life during its final stages by providing holistic
compassionate care to Jewish patients and their families, by providing and
coordinating resources and the services that meet the needs of the Jewish
Community around experiencing loss, life’s challenges, terminal illness,
dying and grief, and by educating the community in order to provide them
with knowledge regarding end of life and hospice care around quality of
life. Our commitment is to provide hospice services to the Jewish
terminally ill and their families, attending to their physical,
psychosocial, cultural and spiritual well-being within a framework of
Jewish tradition, values, thinking and practice. The Jewish Hospice
Program is dedicated to Quality of Life and helping patients to live fully
until the end of life. We are committed to staff education concerning
Jewish traditions, beliefs and cultural values.
Compassionate Care Hospice provides bereavement care
and support to families and also has a charitable foundation which can
assist families with non-medical financial concerns. The Foundation is
able to respond within a few days of the request.
