The Viet Duong Team participated, for a second year, in the annual 5K Walk for Asian Mental Health, sponsored by Asian American Services and co-sponsored by Memorial Hermann Healthcare.

Under the leadership of social worker, Diem Tran, Viet Duong helped raise a total of $3,800 (in 2 years) for the “Looney Tunes” Team and was recognized for raising the most money for the event. The team included Dr. Tommy Pham (Viet Duong/CCH Medical Director), Dr. Jeffrey Barr (UT Psychiatry), Diem Tran (Social Worker), Thuy Trang Nguyen (RN Case Manager), Dai Nguyen (Program Assistant) & Huy Nguyen (CRL).

Every year, The Asian American mental health community campaigns to bring awareness and recognition to community services providing direct care to our Asian Community. In collaboration with the Asian American Family Services, they work diligently with local hospital and community based agencies promoting an integrated continuum of mental health services to their clients. They have a vast number of mental health providers such as Memorial Hermann, UT Psychiatry, Baylor Clinic, MHMRA, who are dedicated in their clinical settings to provide seamless services for better holistic health and mind.
